Food For Good

Food insecurity has exploded the last few years as people faced hardships and government benefits diminished. To help fill the gap between rising food costs and more people needing assistance, BCF launched the Food For Good Fund to support local food pantries.

BCF Scholar Urgent Needs

The BCF Scholar Urgent Needs Fund helps current Berrien Community Foundation scholars who are at a higher risk of dropping out of college when faced with unexpected, financial hardships. This could be a student who is having to choose between paying for their next semester or putting food on the table. 

 

Backpacks For Good

Back-to-school season can be a financially stressful time for many families. BCF’s Backpacks For Good events help 3,000 students from across Berrien County head back to school with many of the supplies they need.

A $20 donation funds a backpack filled with school supplies for a student in need. 

Senior Care Kits

BCF brings joy to the homes of Berrien County senior citizens with our Senior Care Kits. Volunteers wrap these kits with love and holiday wrapping paper, and they are jam-packed with basic hygiene items and everyday necessities for low-income or homebound seniors.
