Watervliet Education Scholarship

The Brenda Cerny Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the Watervliet Public Schools, whose mission is to prepare all students with the academic and personal skills necessary to become life long learners and productive members of the society. 

Brenda Kay Cerny was a 1985 graduate of Watervliet High School and a graduate of Grand Valley State University.  The scholarship was established by Raymond and Marla Cerny in their daughter's memory, and is awarded annually to a college-bound Watervliet High School senior.  Preference is shown to a student showing interest in pursuing a career in a health-related field who demonstrates financial need.
