The Frederick S. Upton Foundation is pleased to announce the deadlines for its 2025 grant funding cycles. The first application deadline is March 15, 2025, with additional cycles closing on June 15 and October 15.
One of the goals of the Frederick S. Upton Foundation is to encourage organizations and people to work together to improve both the economics and culture of Berrien County. The Upton Foundation considers grant requests from a variety of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, religious organizations and schools.
Agencies may apply during multiple cycles but can only receive one Upton Foundation grant per calendar year. Organizations must contact the Frederick S. The Frederick S. Upton Foundation started in 1954 by Frederick S. Upton and his wife, Margaret B. Upton with the goal of loving and leading in their community. Frederick S. Upton, one of the founders of Whirlpool Corporation, was a devoted philanthropist, steadfast in an innate desire to give back to his hometown. For decades, family members of the Frederick S. Upton Foundation have worked through the foundation to help support and grow the nonprofits in the community.
