Berrien Community Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of two staff members, Pam Dolezan as a finance associate and Elena Rockette as the community service intern.

Dolezan joined the foundation as a finance associate at Berrien Community Foundation (BCF) after retiring in the fall from Huntington Bank. She spent more than 35 years on the trust and wealth management side of banking. As a finance associate for BCF, she will help with the day-to-day tasks of the accounting department.

Dolezan enjoys gardening, watching her grandkids play sports, visiting local wineries and breweries, and watching sunsets.

“I am excited and proud to be part of BCF and to support its mission and vision to build strong, vibrant and sustainable communities,” said Dolezan.

Rockette agrees.

“It speaks volumes to who I am and my personal and professional goals,” said Rockette.

Rockette is the community service intern. Her focus is on Backpacks For Good, a school readiness event BCF holds every year in four communities. Her previous work experience includes working with people with developmental disabilities or socioeconomic issues, was an employment specialist and worked in the foster care.

Outside of work, Rockette enjoys reading, walking, writing devotions, watching shows and being with friends and family.
