Herbie Clinic is a free health clinic for those without health/medical insurance. On site are physicians, nurses, the health department, a diabetes counselor, some laboratory services, and a limited pharmacy for free prescriptions.

The HERBIE Medical Clinic is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in honor of the late Herb Atkinson, M.D. and is now under the medical directorship of Dr. Sherry O’Donnell. Comprised of an all volunteer staff, we are dedicated to providing free healthcare services to adults in our community who currently do not have any form of healthcare coverage.
To be eligible for the HERBIE Clinic you must be
- Over the age of 18
- Possess a valid picture ID
- Have no insurance including Government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid
Services the HERBIE Health clinic Provides Free of Charge includes:
- Health Maintenance exams for chronic conditions
- Exams for people who are currently ill
- Wellness exams including female PAP tests
- Most Medications are provided free of charge.
- Other medications often can be provided through manufacturer patient assistance programs
- Basic Cholesterol and Blood Sugar testing
The Health Department is on site to provide Free
- Immunizations
- Flu Shots
- Pneumonia Shots
- Hepatitis Vaccination
- Tetanus shots
A Diabetic Nurse Educator is on site to provide
- Diabetic counselling and education
- life style and meal planning strategies
- Diabetic Test Strips
- Insulin provided in most cases free of charge
