Catholic Charities of Kalamazoo is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by the Diocese of Kalamazoo. They have many locations, including Benton Harbor. All are welcome to utilize their resources and programs.
Utility Assistance: Provides support for home heating assistance (electric and gas) through the Michigan Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) from January to March. Assistance is available by phone or appointments only: Monday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesdays are walk-in days for utilities from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Bread of Life Food Assistance: Walk-through food pantry every Thursday from 9-11 a.m. Register by noon every Wednesday by calling 211. Space is limited.
Ark Services for Youth are available for youth upon request. The Ark works with runaway youth, homeless youth and youth in crisis, as well as their families. If you are in crisis or know a youth who is please call 800-873-8336 for help.
Bridges Mental Health Counseling: Providing mental health counseling to all regardless of insurance coverage. They offer individual counseling for adults, children and family, group therapy, family counseling.
Caring Network: Serving pregnant and parenting teens with access to personalized case management, referrals, parenting and pregnancy education classes.
Immigrant Assistance: The Immigration Assistance Program provides the indigent immigrant population with low-cost competent legal representation in their immigrant matters.
