Howard Facilities Program Endowment Grant Application

Grant Purpose:

This grant was established by John E. N. and DeDe Howard to support programs held at facilities bearing the Howard name. Eligible programs serve Berrien County residents of any age as long as the program is held at one of the following places: 

• John & Dede Howard Family Trail
• John & Dede Howard Ice Arena
• John E.N. Howard Band Shell
• John & Dede Howard Skate Park
• John & Dede Howard Auditorium at St. Joseph High School
• Howard Performing Arts Center at Andrews University
• Howard Music Hall in Hillsdale, Michigan
• John and Dede Howard Recital Hall in Holland, Michigan

Criteria & Examples:

This grant is for nonprofit, school, church or government organizations and is intended to support community activities taking place within Howard facilities.

Howard Facilities Grant Project Examples:

- A senior citizens group takes a trip to see a concert at the Howard Performing Arts Center at Andrews University

- A youth group holds a meeting at the Howard Skate Park, has lunch and learns to skate

- A school uses the Howard Family Trail to learn about ecosystems
